Dark Horizon was midThe unique thing about the game is that it's a Colosseum game with almost no wild mons, not a gym challenge. That's cool, but Shadow Pokémon are not a fun mechanic to me, just an extra chore before a mon becomes usable. Especially early game getting my first few mons was a pain in the ass.Story mostly made sense although I'm not sure how you're supposed to launch a rocket from an ocean floor secret base.It's very formulaic, Cipher base -> Colosseum cups -> Cipher base on repeat with few sidequests, and all bases are very similar with closed doors and key cards. I felt discouraged from changing my team because there's no easy way to EVs train while bosses get 252/252 since early-mid game. Considering that, difficulty is well balanced. I was doing bosses in 2-3 tries with bad EVs and without a busted team, mostly first try with good EVs. Not a total cakewalk nor a big brain puzzle game like rebornlikes.I won't remember much of it in a year.
