The speed buff to mega eel is more annoying than the attack buff desu, too many things outspeed it regularly and in trick room, would've been so perfect if they kept him at 50 speed and you could soak stuff for eelevate boosts

Competitive is actually one of the greatest abilities in the same. It's much more powerful than Defiant because you don't have to take a -1 before getting the +2 boost from Intimidate. The problem is that noone competitive users were good attackers before Meowstic-F gained a Mega; Milotic, Empoleon, Gothitelle and whoever else can attack but they fit other roles instead. And it's funny because Trace can actively be a hindrance so Competitive is basically making up the fact its other ability sucks balls. Made my hatterene modest and put a few speed evs into it so it can go after araquanid in trick room and use a neutral EF on dark, psychic and steel types after araquanid uses soak, let's see how this goes, probably still better synergy with mega ampharos but could be useful in certain situations where the boardstate is hatterene + araquanid and the opponent has a resist or immunity to EF on the other side
