Thoughts on Genesis Shadowrun? Yeah it could've been a bit less grindy, but for a console RPG, this game punches way above its weight.
IT'S GOOD! AND GOOD FOR YOU
which version is better this or snes also are there any similar wrpgs for consoles I've tried many jrpg but they are very hit or miss
>>11971847its an absolutely amazing game once you learn it, which can be very frustrating. its probably not a great first playthru for most people and i would imagine most probably wouldnt finish it. the game economy really needs work and the balance is all over the place but the framework of the game was way ahead of its time. what i find most impressive is the fact that you never even have to go into the matrix at all yet its basically another game within a game. its my favorite genesis game.>>11971969>which version is better this or snesi love both. if you want a more casual (i dont mean that in a bad way) the snes game is much simpler and probably a better "play thru it once" game. its got better music/atmosphere imo which really carries it. the sega game is overall way better but more complex and demanding of your time
>>11971969SNES is more of an adventure game. Genesis game is more of a RPG. Yeah there is an early game grind, but when you get over the hump it's great.
>>11971847It's a gem. On par with the Harebrained Shadowrun Returns saga i say, and the Matrix in this game is even better! Best version of the Matrix in any Shadowrun game, decking is fun here.
Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday is another interesting odd Genesis rpg.
