Why are there no PC Engine clone consoles like there are with the SNES and Mega Drive? I can understand the lack of Virtual Boy clones, but why not the PC Engine?
>>11987515They exist.
There is though? It even had more games included than the Sega and Nintendo ones combined.
>>11987515They do exist. I have a PC Shuttle clone from euro land called the PC Boy.
There are, it's just such a niche ass system.
>>11987634TG16 is hardly niche, even less so in Japan. Something like the FM marty is niche.
>>11987637Still more niche than the SNES and Genesis. Sure, it was popular in Japan, but can you really think of anyone who owned a Turbografx in the US at the time, besides the weird poor kid who's parents didn't get him a Genesis or Super Nintendo, or the weird rich kid who had Sega, Super Nintendo and Turgografx?
>>11987515Because things one child doesn't know about don't exist.
>>11987637It's really niche anon. It sold less than the master system outside of Japan and no one knows what that is besides eurofags.
>>11987637The PC Engine/ TurboGrafx-16 sold around 10 million units worldwide which is about half of what the Sega Master System sold not to mention the fact that the PC Engine had an abysmal attach rate. The system's popularity in Japan is massively overstated.
Ask Mike
>>11988097>10 million units worldwideI didn't think it was that high
>>11988743It sold about 7.5 million in japan and 2.5 million in the us if I remember correctly
>>11988759Absolutely not!
