Is it necessary to play Trigger to get Cross? Trigger is that game every normalfag played so it has no appeal to me and from what I have seen online playing Trigger will make you hate Cross which I find much more interesting than Trigger. But is this like mother 3 where they change everything from the previous game but have to force some old villain to connect the games? Or you can ignore Trigger and play Cross right away?
>>11987602>Trigger is that game every normalfag played so it has no appeal to meseek therapy youre actually sick
>>11987602Just take HRT and became a tranny you fucking sperg kys
>>11987602The reality is cross is less interesting than trigger because the characters are generic and there's so many of them, none of them get any depth to explore. Where as in Trigger the characters usually have an entire arc tied to them and then it's even continued later in the game at times.Playing Trigger isnt required for Cross, and playing Trigger won't make Cross any less boring than it already is.
I played Cross first and enjoyed it
>>11987606>>11987607Typical normalfag "snes was my first console" response >>11987609Yeah that's the thing Trigger seems like another generic jrpg while Cross has multiple characters you can get and I heard some are really obscure to get and stuff, sounds more interesting>>11987620Yeah I wonder how people that played the games backwards feel about it, since I heard the second basically shit all over the story of the previous game or something like that. So might as well skip Trigger to avoid any sour taste Cross story would leave for Trigger players.
>>11987625>Yeah that's the thing Trigger seems like another generic jrpg while Cross has multiple characters you can get and I heard some are really obscure to get and stuff, sounds more interestingYou're illiterate, retard.

Don't listen to trigger boomerCross is by far the better gameThe story , ambiance and combat system shit all over triggerIt also has the best OST of any J-RPG
>>11987668>The story , ambiance and combat system shit all over triggerI too enjoy 20 seconds of loading at the beginning of each random encounter so the camera can swing around and drawn out animations that make battles take minutes of my life each time.
>>11987625This is mental illness
>>11987602>Is it necessary to play Trigger to get Cross?Ignoring the bait-like nature of the rest of your post, the answer is yes. A lot of CT fans like to pretend that CC has nothing to do with CT and its links to it were thrown in at the last minute, but a modicum of brain activity reveals that every single major player in CC is a direct continuation of an aspect of CT. You can play CC on its own just fine, but the reveals will make no sense or barely have an effect on you, and the main conflict of the game will feel totally void of resonance without CT, because the game clearly expects you to be attached to CT as a motivation for your choices. There are two reasons you can hate CC. First, if you don't like needlessly convoluted gameplay and stories, and second, if you liked CT and can't process that its characters and events could turn out badly.
>>11987602>Trigger is that game every normalfag played so it has no appeal to meI facepalmed when reading this. Also because Cross is one of Japan's most beloved RPG, it topped many favourites lists. It doesn't get more "normie" than that.
>>11987717the entire topic is bait, there is never any real discussion about this game on /vr/, CC will get multiple threads in the catalogue and they're all bait or shitposts
>>11987675Another triggertard who hasn't played CrossThere is no random encounter in cross,no gridding and you can escape every battle
>>11987720There's a dedicated retard who continually makes CC, FF8, and Dragon Quarter bait threads.
You should play Trigger AFTER Cross, so you can get the references. Playing Cross first elevates Trigger's drudgery, which without having any reference to its superior sequel, is even more unbearable.
^lil' bitch n'er even played a second of radical dreamers. fucking newfag poseurs.
>>11988043>he didn't bother playing a visual novelUmm....based?
>>11988049based on what? being a normalfag? absolutely.
Playing Cross first is optimal. Then you can play Trigger and enjoy it too. If you play Trigger>Cross then you end up as a butthurt faggot who cries about Cross
>he's still tryinglmao, what an octomaroon
>>11988058Normalfags love visual novels like Persona though
>>11988072by that i guess you mean dating sims, and by that i can tell you've only played 3 on, huh?lmao, the self-pwning doesn't stop.did you discover all these games last year?
>>11988080Yeah 1 and 2 are superior to nusona
>>11988043RD has no bearing on the main storyline. It's a side-story in an unrelated universe.
>>11988069Who?
>>11987607I did this and I'm still a malebrained sperg
>>11987602Basing your choice of games you play on whether ‘normies’ enjoyed them or not is really fucking retarded.
>>11987602>Trigger is that game every normalfag played so it has no appeal to meimagine being so pathetic that you let others control your taste lmao. peak cuck behavior. it's appropriate you're here on 4chan. it is actually wild how pervasive this sentiment is on this site.
I didn't play Cross because I don't want to see Lucca die.
>>11987602What a joyless faggot
Ignoring you gay reasoning. I think trigger both hurts the enjoyment of cross but is ultimately necessary. Spoilers you basically find out all your characters from triggers present day is just fucked as soon after the credits roll. It’s gay and lame and more disappointing than it is the punch in the gut it’s meant to be. Also all the trigger characters are portrayed as midgets which is also gay. So in that sense it’s kinda better to experience that information as back story than have an emotional connection to those characters. But without the full trigger experience the final boss holds almost no weight. I would also say Kids likability is entirely linked to her connection to trigger characters cause she’s not a good character to begin with.
>>11988137>final version of the game takes away most of Kid's clothesBased
I actually bought Cross a while ago but couldn't get into it.
>>11989778Seems like playing Trigger only makes the Cross experience worse
