Been playing picrel again recently and loving it. Only Battlefront 2 worth a damn. But it's got me hungry for more. Any other good Star Wars game from this era? I've already beaten KOTOR 1 (dropped KOTOR 2 but might pick it up again.)

Yes it's Lego but it's still a great game. It has tons of little secrets to find, the platforming is great, and it follows the movies really well. It's very easy (you can beat it in an evening if you're not looking for minikits or wanting to unlock characters) so don't expect any hardcore challenges, but it's perfect for decompressing after a long day.

I don't want to get to gay with it recommending an mmo, but star wars galaxies is a really cool game just in general. It's in that era of star wars games and it's really top quality stuff

Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy

Star Wars Bounty Hunter is also cool but not as good.

Oh bro you know I played the shit out of Lego Star Wars. Completed the Complete Saga on DS last year. Would like to get the PS3 version or even the newest one sometime.

Lego games are usually good with zero irony.

I have the Xbox 360 version of Complete Saga and I'd recommend The Complete Saga to just about anybody looking for "hey what if we turned the star wars films into a video game?".

2 sucks 1 is better in every possible way, maps are more fun, gameplay feels better, units actually feel unique, Bespin Platforms btfos the shitty space combat, the list goes on

Kashyyyk: Docks has an amazing spot to snipe from assuming those you're playing against are too stupid to go looking for you.

Conversion mod is the best of both worlds IMO.

Here are your recommendations
>kotor and kotor 2
Best damn star wars stories outside the OT. Get the restoration mod before playing 2
>Rogue Squadron 2 Rebel Leader
The absolute best Space Fighter game ever made
>Dark Forces and Dark Forces 2
Star Wars versions of Doom and Quake respectively
>Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy
Excellent Saber combat, great set pieces, fun gunplay
>Star Wars Arcade
Sega kicked ass with this game, emulate the cabinet.
>Super Star Wars, Super Empire Strikes Back, and Super Return of the Jedi
Fun 16bit action platformer action
>Star Wars Republic Comando
Probably the best FPS made off the Star Wars IP
>Star Wars Tie Fighter and or Star Wars X-Wing
Space Sims with extremely in depth mechanics
>Star Wars Empire at War
The best RTS based on Star Wars.

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron for PSP is meant to be a full canon adaptation of Battlefront 3. It even has the official logo for Star Wars Battlefront 3 in it's files.

It also implements the "Orbital Combat to Ground Combat" feature that was going to be in the flagship game.
Pic related:
This map has the option of going up into space and destroying the enemy ship with space combat instead of doing everything on the ground. You can also call in orbital laser strikes or go up and manually target them yourself. If a ship is exploding you can use an escape pod to safely land back on the planet surface.
Lastly, it even has the full original planned plot of Battlefront 3 where you play as a force sensitive clone that survives the entire film saga and beyond.

The console versions were cancelled but Rebellion still officially sold the PSP port.
If you loved Battlefront 2, Elite Squadron is the final official installment of that era and intended to be the direct follow up. Just on PSP.

The only downside is that the controls can be shit at times. This can be fixed with emulators and control remapping.
Please consider playing it.

Also one last disclaimer:
There is extensive player and loadout customization but the sad result is that unique units like the Droideka are no longer playable.
There's a number of odd exemptions to player control. Stuff like starships they modeled and animated but never let you fly.

A new Galactic Conquest mode is worth any price if you ask me. I believe this is possibly the most underrated Star Wars game ever made.

Unleashed is worth a look
2 Maybe not as much.
Knight has more 'intimate' sword play and level design from Raven, where as Unleashed is God of (star) War.

-Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds is an amazing Star Wars RTS from that era. My friends and I played the hell out of that game, it’s basically Age of Empires II with a Star Wars skin.

-Rogue Squadron II is easily one of the best ship based Star Wars games, you can also play Rogue Squadron II in multiplayer if you can get a copy of Rogue Squadron III, which in and of itself is not as good but the multiplayer is fun.

There are other decent Star Wars games like Bounty Hunter, Racer’s Revenge, etc but these two I listed and the original Battlefront II are easily the best in my opinion.

I totally forgot about the Knights of the Old Republic games. Super good RPGs from BioWare in its prime.

Oh yeah, I've heard of that. It looks cool, but it makes me really curious about the cancelled Battlefront 3. Didn't it get leaked recently?
