Tried to conquer and industrialize some shitty backwater island, then the native monkeys fucked him up and he went home. Kidnapped the top monkey as revenge. Which got more monkeys to come to his home and fuck him up some more.

Then he moved north and became a mad scientist or something, powering a robot with monkeys. I don't remember DKC3's story too well.

I hated Baron K Roolenstein. K. Rool was such a badass in the first two games, but Roolenstein was so lame. My headcanon from childhood was that the first two were indeed the same guy, but Roolenstein was just one of K. Rool's relatives.
