The deck (like most valve projects) is currently in an in-between state.It's the "just good enough category" for most tasks.It's expensive - but not excessively expensive.It's bulky - but not so bulky that it's unusableIt has a shitty form factor for emulating dual screen games outright.It has an outstanding screen, but it's not good enough to justify the upcharge.It's got a good linux kit, but it's stuck right inbetween native Android apps and native windows apps. It can't run native Android apps, but it also struggles with high performance windows games.With the way that valve refuses to elaborate on a project to actually solve real concerns, it's probably going to get one or one and a half gen of support then die off (like the controller).Hopefully deadlock gets killed first.

>>11990482I have a Legion Y700 for emulation up to GameCube / Wii. The tablet is better for 3DS emulation then a Deck and overall it's a much more portable and better battery life experience. If I could be bothered there's probably ways of getting passable PC indie games onto it too.
