ITT: Post retro games that are the #1 perfect 10/10 entries in their own series.
I probably put 3000 hours into this game as a kid just trying to get the best time possible on City Escape, let alons the Chao Garden. SA2 is one of those rare games where 90% of it is absolute dogshit but it has a few bits so incredibly good that they make up for the rest of the game being utter shit.

Obligatory.
>>11991257you start, OP
>>11991264You could get consistent results in the downhill skating segment? I swear the controls have always just done whatever the hell they wanted for me. I have to this day never gotten through that level without wiping out on a turn and losing all spewd
>>11991857Come on this game plays like doo doo
>>11992808Yep, I mastered it. Running from the GUN truck at the end is usually what messed me up (since you can't see what's in front of you and it's easy to forget where speed pads are). I came up with all sorts of neat tricks for abusing the physics. I think the best time I ever got was like 1:56. Not nearly as good as speedtroons but pretty good for relatively casual and glitchless play. City Escape is, IMO, the best level in the entire series and one of the best opening levels to any game ever made. I've said for a long time that the way to make a good 3D Sonic is to make one where ever level plays like City Escape. It's the platonic ideal of what a Sonic level should be. Man, I could play that shit another 3000 times and enjoy every second of it.
