It was a 60-80 hours first person dungeon crawler with a TONS of content on a system where the only competition for dungeon crawler so far was Deep Dungeon 1 and 2: short and very simple games that were still doing 1 vs 1 battles. The first Megami Tensei was on a whole other level, the kind of things that would get even the most hardcore computer RPG fans to get a Famicom if they didn't have one.
