I've played God of War 1 and 2 probably fifteen times in total, mostly on the hardest difficulty. 2 is my favorite game ever for how it refines your moves for area control and knockback carries. I've played DMC 1 once on normal and didn't have enough time or challenge to dig into the mechanics. Does it get more demanding and let you progress faster on harder settings?

I dunno.

Yes, the game gets harder on higher difficulties. I don't know what you mean by "let you progress faster" and I suspect you don't either. Just go play God Hand you pussy.

Unlock progression, does it give orbs faster?

>2 is my favorite game ever
that's so sad

As a fan of dmc 1 and 3 and Bayonetta, will I like GoW?

It's slower, floatier, and less overtly technical. If you don't enjoy area control and punishing off stun, you'll get frustrated. Enemies are too aggressive and your big moves too slow to start up to run up into a crowd and button combo like you're trying to fill up a style meter. They'll just ignore hits with weak knockback or catch you in startup and hard stun you, which can be a 0-death on harder settings
