Looking for PS1 exploration games like Tomb Raider 1 and Silent Hill that have minimal inventory and no RPG elements. Just straight forward gameplay. Games like Resident Evil/Parasite Eve are too much for me. Thanks

The elephant in the room is King's Field
>>
Maybe Tail of the Sun? It's fucking weird, and it is hard to find a physical copy, but it might tickle your fancy
>>
>>11993582
I've always wanted to try it. Should i start with 1 or 2?
>>
>>11993596
Go for the JP translated copy of 1
>>
>>11993596
2 is very good but its a bitch to navigate
The amount of hidden crevices is absurd
>>
>>11993586
I saw a video of that a few years ago. It does look weird. I'll eventually give it a go
>>11993598
ok
>>
Would Soul Reaver count? I don't remember it having much at all of an inventory (I forget how the glyphs worked but they were very much optional) and it doesn't really have RPG elements at least not shit like leveling up.
>>
>>11993646
Yes.

>Soul Reaver
Soul Reaver is a little barren and tough to progress. Plays more like a puzzle than exploration but that's just my opinion

GTA 1/2/London
I'd say syphon filter but it's mission brief heavy

That game never lets you explore anything you have to stick to the mission at all times

yep, only one with analog support (somehow)

Duke Nukem time to kill
>>
>>11993806
This, but don't play the PSX version. Play PC or N64, the remaster is excellent and takes the best from every version.
Played it for the first time this year and it's now one of my favourites among TR1 and SH1

The Indiana Jones games.

Syphon Filter 1 & 2

Tenchu, no more inventory stuff than TR or SH and very hands off, although idk how big the maps are
it's 2D but Oddworld, a cinematic platformer so similar to Tomb Raider in that sense, and it has zero inventory or RPG stuff, it doesn't even have any UI
already suggested but Soul Reaver, Shadow Man and Duke Nukem TtK are good picks
>>
>>11994461
That's Officer D'arci Stern to you, and you're under arrest.
>>
Thats for the recommendations everyone. I really like Shadow Man its what i was looking for. I'm playing the N64 version which i hear is better than PS1. I'll get around to some of the others in time

based Shadow Man enjoyer
