>Everytime there's some horrible incident in the news it gets blamed on video games. I don't want to just abandon games to that fate. For that reason, though I still consider satisfaction to be very important, I also want there to be an extra something, a "personal signature" if you will. But I haven't felt that much in video games yet, and when I have, the player satisfaction side has been sacrificed—it's navel-gazing. In porn terms it's the equivalent of a facial.
Was he right?

Yes, games are what they are, the longest impressions last for the gamrplay side most of the time. Some of the only games that left a huge impression on generations are stuff like FF7 and KH, but people try to rag on them for that fact

Facials, navels? What on tarnation this chinky talking about?
Getting all giddy up about children toys for crying aloud.
I get the part about having a style of sorts like when you know you are playing a Kojima or a Kamiya game, but God he couldn't have sounded more pretentious even if he tried.
Remember when Inafune was like "here a new hero from Japan" and he created a MegaMan rip off? Same shit, this guys act like hot shit but can't stop living from past glories.

This was him at his prime basically games aren't shit. It's the opposite of pretentious or 'living off past glory'
