Never palyed it, but people always recommend that snk vs capcom card game. Also, try silver sword (tho haven't played it either).
Not retro, but there was this homebrew shmup for it with pheonix in the title. Don't know if it released yet.

everdrive only has option of switching between two games at a time. I will test everything, but recs are always a good start.
