>NES: ReccaNot really tbdesu. The game's scrolling and sprite pushing stuff is impressive, but the actual graphics aren't too stunning, especially when they're scrolling past you at a hundred miles an hour. Best looking NES game, IMO, is Castlevania III.
>>11995361I agree with most everything on this list the world must be ending.
>>11995363I think Recca is much more impressive from a technical point of viewWhen i talk about graphical peak that doesn't mean the best art direction but more like games that push the hardware
>>11995361NES: Batman Return of JokerSNES: DKC2N64: Perfect Dark
>>11995361>Xbox: HL2I think Ninja Gaiden pushed it harder, but I'm not too familiar with the Xbox port >Megadrive: RistarI'd say The Adventures of Batman & Robin did more with the hardware https://youtu.be/Z0S92Fs5gOg?si=xr7A1rd99kbQ-RMR
Xbox: Riddick
>>11995361I’d say Black on Xbox over HL2. Hell the original Halo looks and runs better than HL2 on Xbox imo.

>>11995376Conker was the same company after they spent years on the graphics engine without any idea of what it would look like. Not to mention they were beating Nintendo on their own hardware. It was a perfect storm event.
>>11995361>PS1: Vagrant storyVagrant Story mastered the art direction, but Alone in the Dark The New Nightmare legitimately looks like a PS2 game.
>>11995361>boomers shat their pants when they saw this
>>11995363>>11995370I only found out about Recca around 2003 or so, when a friend showed it to me on an emulator. It blew my fucking mind. I remember I had just obtained a set of 2.1 speakers about that time, and I'd sometimes play it just to hear the thumping bass.
>GBA: Legend of Zelda Minish Cap.Castlevania AoS might have good spritework at times and plays amazingly fluid, nothing beats Minish Cap regarding polish. The handful of games going for 3D may be impressive technically, but far from a "graphical peak">Nintendo DS C.O.P. The Recruit really got the most out of the DS in terms of graphics. Ofc stuff like Laytons, TWEWY or VNs have a cool style, which may be preferable. DQ9 or Phantasy Star are imo great but not exactly peak.

>>11995361>ReccaNot even the best looking SHMUP on the NES. That would be Crisis Force
Conker on Xbox also looks stunning. You would sometimes swear it was a 360 game.
>>11995361>I don't have much experience with consoles like atari 2600,master system or PC engine so i didn't include themso you aren't knowledgeable about old games and you actually have no idea what you're talking aboutnoted
