What was it like to press the button on the controller back in the day?
they used to have a clicky mechanical feel but they became squishy over time
Like bags of sand
>>11997342Like 1000 orgasms
>>11997342We didn't think at all about button feel because there were no options. Some of us had third party controllers with turbo switches and even macros, but we still didn't think about button feel because we were stoopid babbys
>>11997342roughly the same as a high-quality rubber dome keyboard
>>11997342it hurt sometimes when you had to press it a lot
>>11997342galvanising

>>11997860Dunno if it's just a low effort reply to a low effort thread, but I would get my thumb hurt every once in a while by the edges of the d-pad while playing SNES fighting games.
>>11997898bro, my thumb would hurt just playing Mario All Stars. Holding the run button with the tip of my thumb and pressing the run button with the crease always made the crease get red and sore after a while
Congrats, I'm finally filtering this stupid trend.
>>11997342based shitposter, keep up the good work anon
>>11997860racing games on PSX were painfulmy brother kept telling me it's not pressure sensitive, and i knew that, but i continued pressing it hard anyway
>>11997342Stop biting your nails.
>>11997342Good, definitely part of the experience
you would think that video games being a new thing would make you more aware of the experience but that isn't how I remember it. you pick up the controller and as soon as you start playing you forget about your hands and focus on just the TV. it wasn't until the 6th gen that I started looking at the controller to figure out where the fuck the buttons are.
