Hey, I’m trying to figure out a way to send my S-Video signal from my CRT to both my RetroTINK 5X and my Elgato HD60S for recording purposes.Equipment:Sony Trinitron (SCART input)RetroTINK 5XElgato HD60SI’ve got S-Video cables for all my consoles, but S-Video splitters seem impossible to find in the UK. What’s the best way to make this work? Thanks!
What a disgusting amount of overpriced equipment.
>>11997419Cut open the cable and splice into each wire. Signal quality may be effected negatively but them's the breaks.
>>11997419Buy 2 s-video to luma/chroma(Y/C) RCA adapters and 2 powered RCA composite splitters. Feed Y and C into a powered splitter each then use an adapter on the output end to change back to an Y/C DIN connector.Y/C is s-video just on a DIN connector but some stuff used it on RCA connectors like composite uses.
>>11997419It's not called a "splitter," because that will just cut the luminosity of your image in half. What you are looking for is called a distribution amplifier.
>>11997419Just buy an S-Video cable and follow these instructions
>>11997419get an hdmi splitter, idiot.
