Still my favorite Batman gamechallenging, stylish, great soundtrackhttps://youtu.be/EDaIlrfxRnE
SNES or Genesis?
>>11997639Genesisplayed mainly on the SNES growing up but I had a friend who had this game on the Genesis and it was or go to game for a time. don't remember the snes version
>>11997639The entirely different SNES version is hands down the better adaptation of the source material when it comes to visuals and general tone, though it's a pretty generic game otherwise despite the great production values. The Gen version is kinda tacky and over-the-top visually and pretty shallow in terms of gameplay, but since it's more challenging and has a lot of neat technical gimmicks it's become a go-to "hidden gem" for a particular type of /vr/ mindset.
>>11997613This isn't Batman game, this is just godlike game better than anything, calling it batman is like shitting on diamonds.
For me
>>11997613I hate context sensitive buttons in action games
>>11997613every time turn on a sega game shout "of all time" 4 times before press start :-)
This game doesn't feel anything like Batman, it's a run&gun game where you're throwing infinite batarangs, yet it's fun. The NES game has nothing to do with Batman, it feels like you could replace Batman with anything else and it would be the same game, also cool. Then you have the funny insanity of the arcade Batman Forever which looks like it was made by someone on heavy drugs. What's up with retro Batman games where they just make whatever game and throw the Batman license on top?
>>12000198I mean who cares, games weren't designed to be media simulators in the 90s. It's Batman facing all his enemies in the form of a "shooter" where you throw batarangs mainly, nothing wrong with that It's like nobody cares that Capcoms Marvel games feel like DBZ, not Marvel. You just enjoyed games and getting familiar characters was a cherry on top
>>11997613why couldn't they acquire the rights of the main theme for both sega and SNES?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ws68JFY8qfI
>>11998541looks fantastic.
>>12002097Because the SNES game had Konami money behind it, while the Genesis game was stuck with the no-name Clockwork Turtle developers.
