The concept wasn't that, it's the execution that's terrible. The top down parts aren't that interesting to play and just become a chore of backtracking and "where do I go" kinda game, whereas you finally get to the sidescrolling segments, what's supposed to be the meat of the game, they're incredibly short and basic. It's fine to play through once for the novelty, but one time I decided to replay every Goemon game and I hated my replay of this one.
