Anyone got tips for getting used to the controls in Sin and Punishment 64?I want to like the game but it's very wacky control-wise
idk but basedwoahjsks won
>>11999960What?
>>11999961he's from a niche nintendo 64 game
>>11999957>Anyone got tips for getting used to the controls in Sin and Punishment 64?Keep playing it.>I want to like the game but it's very wacky control-wiseIt ain't wacky, you're just not a 90s chad but a 20s fag. It is what it is. What you're saying is like talking shit about old cars because they lack hydraulic steering systems, when the truth is newer models are made for women and weak faggots. It ain't a wacky controller, it's a faggot player. Play more, get better, and make Sin & Punishment your bitch instead of whining about "muh wacky controller, ugh, how can I do better?! Mummy help me!!"Grow some balls, Anon. You got this. Play the fucking game, God damn it.
>>11999986What in the fucking schizophrenic gibberish?
>>11999993It’s simple: practice makes perfect. If you want to improve, just play the game. It’s as clear as that.
Are you playing it on a N64 controller?
>>12000000Yes, I have been playing and practising, that's why I'm also asking for tips and advice, instead I get deranged schizophrenic nonsense
>>12000000Based get.
>>12000001I amI'm using the left hand style, it just gets tricky
>>12000000bro...
>>12000000failed the GET award
>>12000006Aim and shoot with your left hand, go left, right, jump, and toggle between your lock-on with your right.
Playing for more than 15 minutes helps me to adapt to weird control schemes. But it's advice that might not work on double digit IQ guys.
>>12000000Absolute truth.
>>11999957It's pretty straightforward, your mind just adapts to it and it becomes second nature. Great gameI will say that you should mash for melee, timing doesn't matter at all. Also for a modern controller, you want aim on right stick, move on d-pad, and all actions you do in combat bound to triggers/shoulders (so you don't have to stop aiming to do them). Also don't even bother with auto-aim at all. Manual aim does way more damage and improves your skills at the game. There's like 1, maybe 2 sections, where auto-aim is even marginally useful, and even then manual is still better if your aim is good.
>>11999957
What about it is wacky to you?Just remember to almost always use manual aiming and only toggle to auto when you have to concentrate more on dodging, like on some bosses and minibosses or some tricky segments.
>>12000000
>>11999957I cannot imagine being confused by the controls>aim with the stick>move with the dpadWhat part of this molests people?
>>12000431We're still doing this meme huh
Is this game playable on anything other then the N64 controller?

>>11999957Lol what?No it's notPut your left hand on the dpad and your right hand on the analogue stickIt's starting to get annoying how many people don't know how to use an N64 controller

>>12000000witnessed and agreed.>>12000038>>12000468this.
>>12000437>Make left stick aim>L1 into shoot>R1 into jump>On the right side buttons make the left most button left, right most right, Upper button to toggle lock on and free shot You can do it, but you'll either need to rebind your controls for other N64 games or have a saved binding just for Sin and Punishment.
>>11999957>I want to like the game but it's very wacky control-wiseAre you a minor? You need to be 18 years old or older to post on 4chan.
>>12000482What a useless post.
>>12000818Imagine being so stubborn and retarded you still refuse to even try it because you believe you are right
>>12000069>Modern controllerAm I the only one who played around and ended up binding the control so you hold it sideways (trigger buttons facing left) and use either dpad and left stick and the right stick and r1 and r2 and square as buttons? Once you get used to it, it is kino.
>>12000634Interesting setup, never tried it, if I used a normal gamepad it was dpad and right stick plus L, R and R2

>>12000834>he’s never played a first person game on the 64Don’t blame me for your lack of comprehension of the trident
>>12000831You don't get 'the feel' though.
>>12000854?? I was just listing the games I remember using those configs. For first person, I played Turok, Goldeneye, PD, Hexen, Shadowman and maybe some others. I don't remember what controls they used but am guessing it was the stick?
>>12000865They use middle scheme
>>12000861By “feel” do you mean unintuitive?Just play it the way I said and you won’t go back
>>12000865Forgot Duke Nukem
>>12000834I play all n64 games with right style. The left thumb can reach both the D-pad and the joystick. Right middle finger for the Z button.
>>12000874I played like that at first, then I played some games on Wii using DS4 and the Wii has the thing where games use the Wiimote in a straight position and sideways, so for flying and shooting shit you have to turn the controller sideways and I liked it because it felt like you were playing a flight sim with a flight stick or some shit so I went back and played S&P with it. It's pretty autistic, but I recommend giving a try for anyone who wants to try something different. It feels cool. Although it is a pain, you can also map aim to motion controls for extra kino, you just have to turn down sensitivity so that when you press a button the aim doesn't jump around too much.
>>12000887I feel like you’d lose a bit of control on the stick that way
>>12000887What games need all 3 prongs?
>>12000896In many games both the D-pad and the joystick work, easier to navigate the menus with the D-pad.
>>12000909Ah, okay, I get it.
>>12000834Tetrisphere worked well using the outer prongs.
>>12000834And, don't forget, there were games like Robotron 64 and Goldeneye and Perfect Dark too, that allowed you to play "dual analogue" using two controllers.
>>12000938Episode I racer too, for a scheme closer to the movie's portrayal.
>>12000938Just use the DPAD and Stick for that, literally the middle one here >>12000482
I beat it playing like any other game: left analog for movement, right hand on C-buttons. I smashed GoldenEye and Perfect Dark this way too. (you move faster with C-buttons on diagonals.)But "muh wacky contruls!1"? I bet OP’s suffering ‘cause he’s so used to shooting with the right shoulder, all “muh heckerino Call of Dutino!! Woah!!!”What? Most of you think Star Fox 64 is “le wacky” ‘cause you aim with your left hand? Damn, you guys are so stupid.
>>12000964Why do you type like the soiboy in your image?
>>12000968"Uh, I-I want to like the game, but it's all wacky yucky control-wise.""I-I'm too stupid... any advice on how I should hold the controller?"You retards posted FOUR pictures explaining how to hold it, and you still can't get it.How am I supposed to talk to a bunch of smoothbrain morons like you? You can't even understand four kid-level illustrations about how to hold the damn controller.

I just played it for the first time a couple days ago and I found the controls to be really intuitive. Are you not playing it on the N64? Are you using an OEM controller?
