Why did Sega's console and Nintendo's console look and feel so similar?

Good question. Some of my most-played Gamecube games back in the day were Dreamcast ports.

The two 6th gen consoles with soul.

No more brother wars

Maybe them being small has something to do with the fan and cooling

In a lot of ways, the Gamecube was Nintendo aping what the Playstation did years prior. I fucking love the Gamecube, but even I'll admit that Nintendo has a way of being behind the curve.

I think Nintendo and Sega have a certain amount of soul to them which comes from their expertise and heritage.

I think you also might be referring to the 'sunny blue sky' games that both consoles had.

GC > Xbox > Dreamcast >>> PS2

Incidentally, both had similar philosophies of gameplay first. PS2 and Xbox were circlejerking over how cinematic they could make their "games".

Get lost on the way to /v/?

maybe on opposite day
>>

They were in cahoots. The console wars were manufactured by them.

Ah yes, the GCN Zeldas, gameplay first, no unskippable cutscenes like in any Ninja Gaiden and DMC.
>>
I love this gen all the consoles look good
