Every single console named differently outside of its original region should've been stuck with its original name. Mega Drive, both Famicoms, PC Engine? All better names than the USA ones.
PC Engine is a terrible name though
>>12013365True but TurboGrafx is retarded
Sega Genesis is more radical, dude
>>12013374it's more biblical and therefore not very bodacious, dude
And they changed Rock Man n' Roll to Mega Man n' Roll.
>>12013365No, it’s badass.
>>12013307Famicom wouldn't have sold well in us and eu. "What? You're playing the family computer, instead of a real one? What are you? A baby?"
>>12013307>"Family Computer? PC Engine? We already have a C64/Amiga."Mega Drive rules though.
>>12013307nobody asked for the weeb boomer frog poster's opinion, you little bitch
>>12013739I asked :)
>>12013307Mega Drive was renamed Genesis due to trademark issues.
>>12014037you're either lying or retardedpossibly both
>>12013307For years I've seen rom sites listing PC Engine games and thought they were PC games with weird formats. I imagine the same sort of confusion if Nintendo released a Family Computer since back then to me as a kid PC or Computer meant a traditional IBM PC. Mega Drive is just a better name though.
SuFami is a much better short name than snezz or S-N-E-S
>>12013307I don't care about that, but what's lame is when people in one country refer to a game system by its name in another country.
>>12013307Agreed... except Master System is cooler than MK. III to me.
>>12013307Sorry, Famicom is gook gibberish. NES is better.
What would the WonderSwan have been re named to if it had gotten its intended international release?
Genesis > Mega DriveNES > FamicomPC Engine > TurboGrafx16Master System > Mark 3
>>12014830Mega Drive was better though.
>>12014353Nobody said snes. Everyone said Super Nintendo.
