I fucking adore this game.Laugh at me all you want, I don't give a fuck. No game is as fun to play multiplayer and provide so many funny experiences as this one.
>>12013469>Laugh at me all you wantWhy would anyone? Most people seem to agree Armageddon is the best Worms game.
Yes, I too share what is probably one of the most common opinions among gamers who grew up before games turned into movies. Worms Armageddon is great.
A good British game.
>>12013513Other good British games>Alien Breed>...
>>12013520+ Lemmings, DKC. About as many as America.
>>12013520GTA
>>12013469Love turned based games. If you haven't tried it, play Worms 3d. Another favorite of mine is Hogs of War
>>12013530he said british>>12013532he said good
proof yet again that the best multiplayer games only use 1 controller
>>12013571hogs of war is fantasticI love the WW1 vibes
>>12013581>Psygnosis, Rare>not BritishBot? Retard? The absolute state of trolling?
>>12013469This was better.
>>12013674Back in the day, yes. But not after the WA patches.
>>12013617>taking the baittrolled successfully :)
>>12013469nigga everybody likes worms armaggedon
Do people still play Worms? If so where I want to DONIMATE you
>>12014113there's a dedicated /vm/ thread
>>120135713D > MayhemI really adore the aesthetics of 3D and the level themes. Campaign was also fun and not brutally hard like Armageddon / WWP ones. Didn't really like Mayhem as much, hats were just proto-TF2 and custom weapon was No Fun Allowed. Forts had potential to get better but Team17 never tried to make a sequel to it.>>12014113/v/ had a Worms thread up at least once a week for years before /vm/ was made, after which >>12014150
>>12014404I tried Forts on ps2 and it ran really bad and playing it after worms 3d on gamecube at 60fps really made me not care and drop it. Is it worth it to try again?
>>12014150>>12014404Thank you so kuxh
>>12013762>i was just pretending to be retarded!got em
>>12014449Not reallyThe reason I said Forts HAS potential (but devs never bothered with the sequel) is because there are obvious flaws that should've been fixed:>you will try to bruteforce some missions at least once by going after worms themselves (especially by trying to fire punch them into water, or at least bazooka / rhino them to death) and not the enemy base / objective (so it kinda turns into normal Worms) because some missions are so goddamn long and it's easy to miss gold trophy>the actual fort system is okay on paper (you have actual forts that get tougher and unlock higher weapon tiers and you have some optional building that improve QoL features, and you need to plan your fort connection ahead because otherwise everything can be destroyed by opponent targeting a weak link) but on practice you end up ignoring utility forts and going straight for victory points just by spamming weak forts. This is especially evident in campaign because opponent ALWAYS starts with advantage and thus will usually destroy your fort connection in a few turns no matter what (and it double sucks because you can't build a new fort in place of recently destroyed one for a few turns) >weapon balance is awful - rhino is a Tier 3 weapon but ABSOLUTELY BUSTED (it shreds entire lines of forts and it kills actual worms with no issues, the only issue is properly aiming it) while fridge launcher is tier 4 but it ABSOLUTELY SUCKS (good luck landing it where you want because it's so goddamn bouncy, and the damage isn't even that great), and this is but one example - some weapons in the same tier aren't equal either>the entire gameplay process just isn't that fun compared to base Worms - it's basically "most of your weapons are locked out, please build stuff to unlock them, but you lose access to them once stuff is destroyed and thus you go back to square one"I think Team Buddies did "Worms but with some base building" way better than Worms Forts.
I like WMD for single player, but Armageddon has not and will never be dethroned as the best multiplayer title.
