I'm able to get everything gold until there starts to be these races where you drive formula cars in cities and they remove the rubber band. The good thing is that you can genuinely get ahead 30 seconds from your rivals so it works both ways, but also if you fuck up it's over. This game is pretty soft tho because for example on GP races you are allowed to restart sections if you think you didn't get enough points so there's some anti-frustration there.

I've have attempted to play this game maybe 10 times in 20 years and I always get stuck in the same race but luckily it doesn't haunt me but it's interesting that it's always the same place where my skill cap is reached.

anti-frustation doesnt matter if you fucked-up the first or second gp race and you are stuck 30 mins in the same race trying to finish 1st, and a 4th race is awaiting you
some gps take 3 races and others take 4, you just never know. don't remember if there were gps with 5 races

but it's fun. the faster the better

I mean what I was saying is if there are 3-4 different races in a GP, you can technically retry infinitely until you get the position 1-3 or whatever you want to without starting the whole GP over again. But it's pretty likely the player will lose interest in retrying if they may finish the first race on 1st place and they are stuck retrying to second or third race until it becomes tedious.
