FF6 was the last good FF game, this reeks of late 90s cringe like boybands and toonami
Saying that you like FF6's story. characters, etc and then shitting on FF7 has got to be one of the most disingenuous 'opinions' on this board and that really says a lot because this is tryhard poser central
>"FF7 is cringe because, um, emotional">Ignores FF6 basically being tragedy porn
I've never played a FF before or really any jrpg's except pokemon but recently thought about giving 7 a go. Is there a specific release of the game that I should play? Fanmade translation? Is the ps1 version totally fine?
bot thread
>>12017396yeah ps1 version's mostly fine, there's one story term where you might get confused but it's nothing major, look it up after beating the game.
>>12017396>Is the ps1 version totally fine?Absolutely. It's still the best version. The 1998 and 2012 PC releases both have shittier sounding music, so you'd need to mod in the original PS1 tracks.
The butthurt will never end
>>12017005Obvious bait is too obvious.
>>120170059 was up there with 6.
i love it but it only works because of how primitive the 3d stuff is. if it were say a ps2 game i probably would not have even played it since i pretty much just dropped the jrpg genre after the ps1. i remember playing an hour or two of suikoden 3 on ps2 but i just dont like these games in 3d. it doesnt work at all. you can get away with so much retarded shit that remains charming in 2d (or ff7 tier 3d)
>>12017005FFX-2 was the last good FF game.
Assblasted SNES drone thread, they'll die mad that the PlayStation did everything the SNES was trying to do but 1000x better.
>>12017583Both systems are great if you love RPGsAdd a PC for CRPGs and you got the holy trinity.
>>12017396ps4 version would be decent but it has bad music bugs, recommend ps1
>>12017639I prefer real RPG's over cookie cutter RPG Maker slop. None of those 8-bit or 16-bit games are worth going back for.
>>12017005They're very similar games when you get down to it. I love them both.
>>12017005I agree. I agreed in 1997.
True
>>12017005This was the period people started accepting spectacle over quality and nostalgia for it only is nostalgia without objectivity
>>12017019its extremely common here and I really cant understand how you mature as a human to become this way.
