Rules of the thread are simple:
>You can only talk about games and systems made before the US release of the NES (1985). Everything before it from the CRT Amusement Device to stuff like Marble Madness and Kung Fu Master is cool here. Later and homebrew ports for Pre-NES games on Pre-NES systems are allowed (e.g. Jr. Pac-Man was released in arcades in 1983 but the 2600 port came out in 1986)
>That's it.
How do I git gud at arcade Battlezone? Also how do you bind that game? My binds for my Dualsense controller are okay but I wanna know if I can do better.

Got a new PB for arcade Berzerk (still a shit score kek). You have to be constantly moving in this version and although that makes the gameplay more intense, it also makes it more difficult to kill the robots. It's a fine balance that this game executes perfectly.

That set 2? Respectable score for set 2, IMO, but pretty weak for set 1. They ramped up the difficulty in the second revision.

According to the compatibility list I use as a reference for my ROMs, it's revision RC31A so I assume it's set 1. Personally I'm used to the 2600 version so the arcade version feels crazy different to me (especially the diagonal shooting robots).

RC31 would be the first release, RC31A would be the second. The robots are much harder, though Otto doesn't speed up later on.
My personal set 2 hi score is like 4,800, but on set 1 I have 11 thousand something

Kek I had no idea I was basically playing with weights on. I just thought the arcade version was generally harder.
>>
>>12021332
The first revision was much less common n the arcades, actually. I like both of them, but the first is definitely easier. Apart from Evil Otto getting crazy fast at high levels.

What's the best way to play Spy Hunter? I could never get the controls to feel right in Mame
>inb4 "just get an original cabinet bro"
>>
>>12022559
Have you tried using a steering wheel controller? The cabinet itself seems to have a steering wheel on it, but I don't know if it's just a gimmicky joystick or if it functions like an actual steering wheel.

Confession: I've never played the arcade version of Wizard of Wor. Is it on FBNeo?
>>
>>12023770
i dont know, my dad has just owned the arcade cabinet for 25 years and thats how i always played it

I found the rom and played a little bit. It looks really fucking good for 1980. The gameplay is addicting too. I'm probably gonna sink a good few hours in this.

It's amazing in multiplayer
