Did you had any bootleg games during your childhood? I had a 101 games in 1 multicart for my GBA, I got to experience a lot of nes games through it despite not even know what a nes was.

>>

Was it this one?

Also does anyone know where the music of this game comes from? It's too good to be original

yeah that's the one, the game over screen with Pikachu dying was weird lol

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0HVhSZkAZ4

and apparently the music was made by the chink developers and it's used in two other bootleg games from the same time
>The gameplay engine of Pocket Monster is shared by two other titles, Panda World and Super PoPo's Adventure. Each game has numerous differences in mechanics, though they share the same music and sound effects. It is unknown which came first; it is possible all three games were developed concurrently.

This is my favorite Mario Game of all time.
SMB3 close second but crazy how this bootleg is the peak of the series to me.

>boomer derails the thread talking about irrelevant boomer things instead of reading the room
>somehow still thinks of others as 'less' and not himself

the rom is readily available but CiB i would likely buy this in person too
>>
>>12020849
I would too, something about owning a physical middle finger to copyright, with weird art and sometimes modified code. To me that's more interesting than getting super mario release #69 that can be bought at any store
>>
>>12020553
Getting some Rat Fink vibes off this one, it's great. Also

>>

My friend had a gba game called Crash Advance 4 and the controls were A to spin, B to jump. It had extremely long and difficult levels in it. He told me his aunt in Saudi Arabia sent him it but now he has lost it and tells me he bought it in Game and the box had Crash holding a wumpa fruit on the cover. Has anyone else heard of this game?
>>
>>12018895
I don't know if this counts but I had this plug 'n play console thing that would play a list of NES games. It was kind of fun and I got really good at Galaga as a result.

Brazil had a Famicom clone with a custom Crash Bandicoot title in it... surprisingly it's fun to play for what it is.
>>
>>12018895
I went to an Asian kid's house where he had a bootleg GBC game where you played Pikachu in some kind of dogshit 2D platformer where he ran around a theme park. I'm pretty sure he stole my fucking GameBoy.
