This is bullshit
>>12020592Bro, I beat this game when I was 10 with the help of the official walkthrough.
They're called "shaders".
>>12020592It’s not that bad, the compass will tell you there is something there, so it’s just about trial and error till you get it right.
>>12020663bro what fucking language is this fr
>>12020675Looks like standard German
>>12020592An owl statue in that same dungeon literally relays the solution to you.
>>12020592I think that part was the one time I had to call Nintendo hotline.
>>12020675Hungarian I guess
>>12020675Dutch
The owl statue in the other room literally fucking tells you what to do. I don't even like this game, I think all of the handheld Zeldas are slogs, but you can't be this retarded.
>>12020770Yeah, good luck with that if you're 7 yo and don't speak a word of english.
>>12020780This one filtered me as a kid
What the fuck is a keese.
>>12020774Knowing English would only clue you in that you have to kill enemies in some sort of order.
>>12020592The owl tells you what to do, noob
>>12021791well the first one is enclosed, and the last one starts with "stal" which would imply skeletal so even if you don't know the enemy names, you could reasonably figure it out
>>12020592imo the only bullshit part is those stupid horse heads that you have to just pick up and toss until they land the right way, i couldn't even tell what they were supposed to be and neither landed right way up after a bunch of attempts so i ended up wandering around the dungeon for 15 min before going back and figuring it out
>>12020592I legitimately returned my game to walmart when I was 8 because i thought the reason I couldn't get a key in the level 2 dungeon was because it was glitched, not that you had to kill the monsters on order to get the key to drop. When my brand new copy didn't work I actually read my Nintendo power instead of just looking at the map
>>12020675Farsi
>>12021883even if you couldn't puzzle that out, there's only three enemies, so to brute force it you'd only have to do the room five times at most.
>>12020663That is distinctly how I remember the Game Boy screen looking before it yellowed with age.
Why the fuck was this segment in a Megaman game? How the fuck were kids expected to know this shit
>>12022348Nobody really likes Legends 2
>>12022353the controls are better than the first one, at least.
This one jump in Level 3 of TMNT on NES kept me from ever seeing Level 4 or later as a kid. It doesn't look bad, but this one jump is the only jump in the entire game where you are required to understand a game mechanic that may not be obvious at first. That mechanic is that if you hit your 'head' on the ceiling during a jump, it kills your momentum. Given how slowly you move and jump, you might not even notice in most situations. Here, hitting your head means landing in the water, and getting kicked back to the overworld map. Even the similar looking jump prior to it can be cleared if you hit your head, but not this one jump.
>>12020774Good look if youre 6 years old and cannot even read your own fucking language.
I figured this out as a kid without a guide. It took me days but I fucked around and got it eventually. Moving that ball around eagle tower filtered me hard though.
did you consider reading the fucking manual?
>>12022546Thats where I got filtered too.
>>12022503Don't you just have to do a spin jump instead of a standing jump?
>>12022556nothing in there about enemies, just the characters and the items
>>12022556Not OP but that doesn't look like the Link's Awakening manual, which doesn't say anything about monsters:https://www.gamesdatabase.org/Media/SYSTEM/Nintendo_Game_Boy_Color/Manual/formated/Legend_of_Zelda-_Link-s_Awakening_DX_-_1998_-_Nintendo.pdf
>>12022524Nigger what, you should know how to read at 4 years old. Did your parents not sign you up for school until the second grade?
>>12020592There's a hint.
>>12022762I learned reading at six. Sorry Mr. College Superhuman.
>>12022348trial and error. also it's optional. i had a fun time with a friend drinking and trying to get through the hard quiz one night. it's a tradition now to drink and spend a couple of hours on it whenever i do a playthrough. i wonder if it was easier in japanese.
>>12022556That's the zelda 1 manual
>>12022762>>12022987>learning to read at school instead of getting bored as a toddler and taking a storybook you have memorized and using it as a rosetta stone to teach yourself how to read the other books in your house without any input from adultsbleak. i can't imagine being that retarded.
>>12024229Cool story bro
>>12022987I was reading at a fourth grade level at six, did your parents not read to you?
>>12020663NIE OHNE KONDOM!
