feels like he could have been neat in another world but i don't think that'll ever really happen at this point
come to think of it, shinobi world almost makes me wonder what it could have been like to have alex kidd as a sort of sora-like character across different sega games & genres; some sort of offbeat collection series of alex and some side characters like stella or egel in sendups to shit like golden axe, space harrier, etc could have been a really fun angle to take
honestly though doesn't help that a lot of his offerings in his own series are middling at best

Miracle World is messy and very obtusely designed (by the developers' own admission) but overall it's playable enough and has lots of fun and memorable elements.

Shinobi World is probably the most solid and overall fun of all games featuring the character (even if originally it WASNT going to feature him), but it's sadly a bit too short and unchallenging.

The password is bs tho,it wasnt made for the west. At the very least they should have put some arrows pointing how to read it on the fucking tablet stone. Just to read the stone you had to press the pause button on the console and select it, which kids didnt even knew about.

If you like this game you should try Kid Icarus, it's really eerie how a lot of the aspects of both games are similar despite them coming out almost simultaneously

honestly he always struck me as being like three steps to the left of having a genuinely cool and appealing design, but as is he sort of just feels half-baked and a bit at odds with himself?
i feel like something like picrel at least strikes a decent-ish balance in terms of colour at least, though to be honest a jumpsuit is hardly an ideal costume anyway
