There are so many Frogger games it's hard to figure out the gems, hidden gems, imperfect experimental games with some good ideas but poor execution, and downright trash. Can we have a Frogger thread to share the good, the bad, and the green?
>>120225302600 Frogger is the only video game I've ever seen my parents enjoy; great port too. The Hasbro reboot has some charm.
The 6th gen Frogger games had a lot going for them in my opinion. I still think it was a really cool idea to take the original Frogger's movement system and put it into sprawling levels. However, if there's one area where these games screwed up, it was usually the level design.>those platforms that move back and forth out of sync with each other and only let you jump between them once every 17 cyclesNot only did someone think that this was a good idea the first time, they fucking kept doing it across multiple games. Truly boggles the mind.

Lumpy and Berry were black-coded, right?
>>12024192You seem to be confused. Berry was frog who was blue, and Lumpy was a toad, who was green..
>>12024197Yes and he spoke in a southern drawl that is usually associated with black people but not always
>>12022530I loved both Frogger games on PS1First one for pretty cool OSThttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73mFXenRpdMSecond one for overall pretty cool platformer with neat multiplayer unlockableshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SvSFgvVa9KYI tried Frogger Beyond on PC but I got stuck on third or fourth world where the minecart section starts and could never go past it as a kid. Somehow I never bothered to reinstall it and try again like 20+ years later
