I think Banjo system with "collect all 100 things without dying or else it resets" didn't work that well here
Boss "fights" were just not fun and copypasted
When it comes to levels - Memory ones were okay, Happiness ones were bad, Fear ones were probably the only good ones and Fantasy ones were meh
I can't recall a single music track so the OST was probably forgettable
I guess if you force me to choose between 100% DK64 or 100% EJ 3D I'll go with the latter - not because I hate it less but because it's much shorter and I won't have to waste too much time compared to DK64.

Don't compare it to Banjo. See what works in it's own right. If it could've competed we would've known by now. For a 2d to 3d title I think it does better than sonic. BRAINS!
