>Insufficient space!>Diablo requires 10 blocks of available space to save.
yeah then you have a real sophie's choice moment in the memory card menu
>>12024269>playing a RTS on a console instead of PCBut yeah, some PSX games were ridiculous with their memory card space requirements.
>>12024301it's a top-down shooter
>>12024301>hack n slashFixed. But it also applies to RTSes and anything designed to be played with kb + mouse.
>>12024301diablo save requirement isn't ridiculous once you understand that it saves the dungeon layout and every item on the floor too.
>>12024359Got it. I stand corrected.
>>12024303nigga what
>>12024359>can't just save the seeds that generate the layouts>can't just remember your dropped equipment and wipe unclaimed loot on the ground after death/exitmost people who can save will just abuse the feature to never have to die or be forced out anyway
>>12024301It's a real-time diablo'em up
>>12024374Lol, well played.I already fixed it >>12024305 though. Had a brain fart or something.
>>12024374It's a classic spell n slash
>>12024365It was copying the same thing the PC version does.
>>12024580did these things ever work? I had two of them (two different models, not exactly like the pic) and none of them stored my data reliably. the first one just lost whatever saves I had on any bank beyond the first, while the other one couldn't even be detected by the psx.
>>12024305Fun fact: hack n slash originally, and at the time of Diablo's release, just referred to the type of RPG campaign, not the gameplay, so even a turn based game could be a hack and slash. Diablo was simply an Action RPG with a hack and slash campaign.
>>12024732Didn't those need a modded console?
>>12024924nah they were just always kinda crappy
>>12024580These are for the old bleystations the new where cool transparent ones like nintendoh
>>12024365>wipe unclaimed lootNaw nigga that shit can save your life idgaf if it takes a few extra kb to store I want dat shit.
>>12024795For its first 10 years all D&D was this. From the mid 70s when it was hust a fantasy remake of thr "chainmail" miniature milsim through the early first edition modules. The core rule books had random encounter tables an "treasure type" RNG loot, with higher level monsters dropping better +X gear.It was only later on that the D&D shifted to actual roie play, with city political adventures and taverns for homosexual theater fags to LARP and share their prose with fellow players. Fuck I hate bards. To me D&D was always hack and slash dungeon crawl and all early RPGs followed that format faithfully. Diablo is legit for that reason.
>>12025698No reason you couldn't have a middleground.
>>12024269Good choice. Diablo is absolute garbage with mouse, direct control using controller is required, no objection allowed.
>>12024301It had co-op on the PSX! It's comfy as fuck
>>12025698Diablo would've been better turn-based.
>had a memory card just for THPS2's game save, my custom skater, and custom parks>another for RPGs and other long games that I really needed a save for>and another for everything else and rentalsIt's not like PSX memory cards were expensive or anything. $10-15 on average.
>>12026324Bizarre opinion, but hey, whatever works for you.Did you know DevilutionX has Playstation style gamepad support, so that you can use a gamepad on PC?
>>12024269why would you ever play it on PS nowadays?
Not my problem.
