Why did nobody ever go to the Xenogears planet after the superweapon crashed on it?
Find out in Xenogears Tw-!>*scrapped for Sakaguchi's shitty movie*Welp
>>12025597Because usually we as a species would like to avoid places where dysentery is everywhere.
>>12025597I think the idea is the rest of humanity doesn't know where it crashed and just never found it in the last 10,000 years.
Imagine it succeeds and gets off the planet only to get vaporized by a freighter passing through the system because it's been obsolete for 9,500 years.

IIRC the artbook actually brings this up or something similar.Originally the game was meant to be like a 6 game grand epic with the final episode touching on why Deus wanted to return to "the mother planet". Perhaps this would also explain why nobody ever came looking for it. It's probably reasonable to assume some other calamity happened in the mean time that set everyone back to the stone age or some shit.>>12026567I mean it literally taps into the power of the settings god of the universe, and doing so was so catastrophic it had to be disposed of immediately. I doubt the setting is powerscaling much beyond that.
>>12025597Because it requires huge amounts of assets and time and they have priorities other than going searching for some shit that blew up and seeing what is going on, and could have even gone extinct in that time span.
>>12027865I doubt it was a case of it being beneath anyone's notice or not being able to be arsed: the game doesn't really powerscale it but given how it works and what is implied, it's not unreasonable to assume that Deus was a galaxy or even universe ending threat.I personally think there was some sort of "twist" intended if the setting was revisited. IE that the rest of the setting had entered some sort of dark age in the interim time.
>>12027863The god of the wave universe..But what about....The wave multiverse :0
>>12027872>>12027863Consider Xenoblade is the current iteration of the perfect works. Lost Jerusalem had it's own shit show that occupied thousands of years. Even if you don't think of it as canon, the ideas behind them are certainly what Takahashi always intended.
>>12027863Plotting out a huge multipart epic like this is the hallmark of total hacks and rank amateurs. None of that shit is interesting enough to carry a whole game.
>>12028812It's nice for background context but trying to make games out of it was a huge blunder
>>12028845I can't tell if this guy is gay, or just such an alpha male he can get away with wearing whatever he wants with total confidence.
>>12028812Yeah man, the people who made the game still talked about to this day and still receiving sequels is a hack and you will give them what for!
>>12031015I thought he was a Joe-Star reference
>>12028812Pretty much. The information you get about those past events in Xenogears is plenty.
