So.... finally went to a japanese arcade, i dont get the hype. Would rather be at home on my mame cab, playing actual games.
You need to get a time machine and go back to 1989, Anon. You missed that experience. And you are right about playing at home if you own a mame cab.

>>12025653There might be a reason we share our thoughts on the same image board, Anon. Carry on.
>>12025615>i went all the way to japan to play arcade games and all I did was visit one aisle in a claw machine placelol
>>12025651The games are set up for 1 player, its all fighting games, and none of the games have art. Im not impressed. Im an old school gamer so i dont care about fighting games, to be honest i think they kind of suck and are part of the reasons arcades died.
>>12025615Ground floor of japanese arcades is always the crane game floor for normies to bring their dates and win a plush giant fish for their GF. You have to keep climbing, the games get older and better the higher you climb. Second floor is tge rythym games and photo booths. Third you find coin pushers and fake pachislots, horse race games and those games you buy cards to interact with them. Then there is floor with cabinets or pods, the expensive premium games. Keep climbing and you will eventually find the real arcade.
>>12025723I actually care about japanese culture not just pop culture. So i went out and did a lot of things, i went to an onsen, saw mt fuji, went to a maid cafe, visited tamples and shrines, etc. So forgive me for only going to 3 arcades all three disappointed me and i didnt have time to waste finding the elusive good japanese arcade -- i didnt want to waste my only trip to japan on gaming forgive me for having a life outside of vidya.
youtube thumbnail bait the countrywhen did you start having japan fatigue?
>>12025725So one floor at the top has games? And if its like what this guy >>12025724 described sounds like i didnt miss much
>>12025765They have pvp setups for the few fighting games that still exist in arcades. Usually its side-by-side now instead of the cabs back-to-back like i nthe old days.

>>12025724>Im an old school gamer>so i dont care about fighting gamesbut old school gamers are the ones who care about fighting games for the most part
>>12025861>photo taken at an american round 1 They literally just put sf there for gaijins, fightans are dead in japan. Its all claw, drivers and ddr.
>>12025745>I actually care about japanese cultureYou don't care about anything but likes and upvotes. A sad little attention whore who's coping like a mofo because your ebig haha bombed.
>>12026074>millenial toddler has wandered into vr Go back to v please
>>12026075>fightans are dead in japanSF6 is only alive in Japan, though I doubt people are playing it at arcades
>>12025615Was it at least clean? All the arcades i've been to in America are usually filthy. The machines are dirty, the floors are sticky, there's trash everywhere. Galloping Ghost was the worst. The cabinets actually looked like they were wet, like it was a gym where no one had wiped down the machines and just left them covered in shit. I didn't even go near Dig Dug because the coin slot was oozing out something that looked like jizz.>>12025745Based weeb Anon.
