What's the best way of playing MGS1-3?Does emulation work well, especially with the pressure sensitive buttons?
>>12033505>best wayModded PS3 with webMan running Metal Gear Solid & Metal Gear Solid HD Collection isos. You can even use pressure sensitive buttons.
>>12033509HD collection is how I played them as a teen years ago, but I've always been curious about all the extra content that was cut out like all the minigames. Also I want to play on PC ideally
>>12033514Sorry OP, I've never tinkered that far into PS emus on PC, but from what I understand they're more than serviceable. I think you'll be okay. That said, I can't recommend a modded PS3 enough. If you can pick one up for cheap and follow a Youtube video, you should be golden. Good luck!
>>12033505Emulation is pretty much perfect, if you have a compatible controller pressure sensitivity can work though games are perfectly playable without them. HD versions suck dick, MGS2 Substance too.MGS1 -> MGS2:Sons of Liberty -> MGS3:Subsistence
>>12033542Why is MGS2 Substance worse than the base Sons of Liberty release?
>>12033548Based on korean version which in turn was based on european/japanese versions but missing some of their small features and has different (worse) posters, broken skyboxes and jp version only comes with english audio. Only worth it if you're gonna play extras. tcrf has more info.
>>12033514>extra content that was cut out like all the minigamesMetal Gear Solid games were one of the mroe demanding games to emulate, so I think if you really want to play minigames, emulate only minigames and play main game using PC port.
