The stages are a bit more interesting, but the creativity of the Mavericks is questionable, I find the controls to be a bit unresponsive (is it me or do you find yourselves fighting with the air dash more than necessary?) and it just doesn't feel as smooth as X1. Upgrades aren't as useful overall either imoHoping X3 is a better experience
>>12034319i actually prefer the maverick fights but not the stages, although tbf the stages are more designed around the dash. same with the upgrades, like headbutting rocks is just used to get the buster upgrade whereas the scanner is niche but shows where some expansions are, although the x3 scanner is way better about that. with the air dash you just have to jump and dash, don't try to dash jump into one because that's not possible. some people don't like x3 as much but imo i'd say the levels are better, the mavericks are pretty lame though as most just go back and forth and attack. also the buster upgrade is more of a downgrade unless you play the zero project romhack, you can merge the shots but that rarely hits anything.
I didn't have a way to save in mega Man x so I had to start over every time :(
>>12034319Wheel gator stage is cool.Overall X2 is weaker than X1 and X3.
I thought X2 was basically more of X1, controls are the same. The only thing that seemed weird to me at first was the double charged shot. Being used to it on X1, I'd often waste the first shot. But it makes sense and I got used to it, it's a good addition.
