What is the best Macross game?
I assume the good ones are all retro
>>
bumping for interest cause I like the anime
is there a Macross game that makes use of the singing/music theme? Or are they all shmups?

The Game Boy Color Macross 7 game is a shmup as well but has some rhythm game mechanics for the bosses.

the macross: do you remmeber love playstation game is well presented. Not especially great gameplay but very nice visuals for the time and anime cutscenes and music from the movie.

neat. Does it blend the two well or does it feel tacked on?

also not retro, but the 2012 blu ray of macross do you remember love comes with a nice free game for PS3 called 'my boyfriend is a pilot", which looks and plays pretty good.

very satisfying game to fuck up capital ships. If you like the idea of afterburner but with macross missiles, and mecha combat sections.

This one >>12035175 since it's an adaptation of the movie and at the final battle it sounds the titular song, like in the movie.

I found it fun and fresh for adding variety, plus it uses actual Fire Bomber songs in chiptune versions
