>Play Western 6th gen game>Nu-metal starts playing
>>12035967for me it was industrial
>play Japanese 6th gen game>music was replaced by numetal during localization>eject disc>microwave it>download a pirate copy with the original soundtrack patched back in
Please, keep Jonathan Davis far away from me, I do not want to be associated with bullying victim music.

>>12035967Take me back, bros. Nu-metal kicked the shit out of modern rap.

I like jazz, shame there aren't many games with jazz soundtracks.
>>12035989Mid-late 90s PC game soundtracks are chock full of industrial goodness.>>12036027>>12036039Based. Nu-metal kicks ass.
>nu-metal goodIt's kinda endearing how even the lamest stuff has its share of lovers on this mongolian basket weaving forum
>>12035967I used to like numetal and Sonic as a kid, then I went through a phase when I hated on Limp Bizkit and Sonic because I “matured” and then I realized that I was originally right and they were cool all along. I don’t know why I ever doubted myself.>>12035994Name five times this has happened
>>12036017like every sports gamemost racing gamesfucking bunch of other random licensed trash prollynu-metal was a fucking marketing psyop
>>12036091its not that endearingits literally just zoomoids doing the "le wrong generation" meme and grabbing popular records from 20yrs priorlike what we all did with devo and random new wave/punk trash from the 80s not that devo is random new wave trash, but u know what im sayin

>>12036029This game introduced me to Swervedriver who have since become one of my favorite bands from the 90's.

>>12036172I went through the same arc, I think its a combination of nostalgia and more importantly getting old enough to no longer give a shit about whether a genre is cool or not.

>>12036186I discovered Monster Magnet thanks to RR. So when MTV started blasting singles from Powertrip, I could arrogantly say I’d known about MM years earlier.

>>12035967We had a Xbox demo kiosk and it had a demo for Fight Club on it that ran for awhile (or was one of several demos i can’t remember exactly) but I always loved hearing “FIGHT…. FIGHT…. HEAD TO THE BARRICADE” while seeing the xray bone cracks gimmick in the game. Was pretty awesome and I love that song, it has been permanently etched into my brain. Shame the game apparently turned out awful. Reviews were so bad and I had so much to play I never got around to it, to make any judgement myself. Anyone know if it’s as bad as the reviews say?
>>12035967"nu-metal" is a non-term that doesn't mean anything
>>12035967fred durst is nu-metal? i don't really know what genre i'd call him but metal at least would not enter my mind personally. actually "faggy" would be the most apt descriptor but come on you can't put that faggot in the same genre (well it's nu but still) as metallica that's just retarded.
