Chrono trigger is not grabbing me.
>>
you were supposed to play it when you were a kid.
>>
That's okay, you don't have to like everything.
Good for you for not making a thread calling it shit just because it's not for you though, that took a lot of bravery.

It's fine if it doesn't. Out of curiosity though, how far are you?

Jrpg is the only genre of retro game that ages. Your brain is too cooked chat to be satisfied with menus that cause animations.

i beat it recently for the first time and i can tell you it doesnt get better
the combat system itself is pretty cool but its way too easy and the whole game is just walking 5 steps and getting locked into encounters

I played it a long time ago but it never grabbed me either. Same with ff6. Now surprisingly I was fully gripped llaying linda cubed so 2d style jrpgs aren’t necessarily terrible as some might lead you to think

I only played it last year and loved it, was 33
OP is probably a jaded faggot

I play a lot of old rpgs. I genuinely can see that it's a good game I just think I'm not interested in the setting right now, I'm kind of on a straight fantasy vibe these days, so the tech stuff is just not grabbing me. And while the combat system is definitely dynamic I'm just less interested in combat these days and more in story and simple combat because I am a grandpa I guess

nuh uh if that were true I would have
