I don't think anyone has ever claimed VB to be the best Wario Land. WL3 can't be that good if you're punching down like that.
To me the virtual boy is a neat toy that anyone who isn't a sociopath can sit down and have some fun with. So I'm immediately skeptical of this claim about wario land 3.

>>12042493It did seem dumb he somehow loses his powers due to some sort of clown magic. The levels of 3 seem a lot better designed though if you ask me. Its just that the way the game has you do the levels wasn't the best way to do it. The developers should have made it so you do each levels day and night time variant with the level approach changing based on the day/night cycle. This would have required them to change how the story functioned and even the games structure itself but it would have been for the best. As it is the game feels quite schizo with having you hopping around between all the levels over and over to collect stuff to progress the story.
