We aren't young anymore man. And its gay to demand special treatment with our own little thread. It shouldn't matter if you're 20 or 80 on this board. Who you are is irrelevant

I tried playing this piece of shit. Cleared the first level and realized its not a bomberman game at all.
What the FUCK were they thinking???

Nigga, oldfags have been bitching and shitting on younger generations since the beginning of mankind. You've just been in the period where genXers were the ones writing the articles
Now oldfag millennials are the ones writing the articles and they're starting to shit on zoomers

Majuu Ou was the last retro game I played. I saw footage of the 1st level and I thought it was going to be Castlevania with guns, but it was just shit. The worst part is that your attacks do shit damage and have zero recovery frames, so the game is entirely reliant on how fast you can spam the attack button. Kind of insane that they designed it that way. Shame because the spritework and a few of the ideas are amazing.
>>
>>12044795
You mean boomers and gen-xers concoct insane lies about Millennials(like suggesting the majority ever participated in ridiculous trends like man-buns, or going vegan), and often blame us for things they did (like introducing participation trophies, or HR departments).
And when they aren't doing that, they just seethe that we don't want to visit their overpriced restaurant or something.

It's a follow up to the N64 story driven action-adventure bomberman games, but nowhere near as good. The two N64 bomberman games are the best games ever made in any series or genre or console
>>
>>12046372
>The two N64 bomberman games
There were two? So there's a direct sequel to Bomberman 64? I really should have went on a 64 buying spree went everything dropped to £10 or less in the bargain bins. Hindsight is 20/20.

Just finished OOT last night.
Nothing special at first but became kino once I turned into adult Link. Ganon's castle was a bit disappointing, though. The micro dungeons were too short and didn't do anything interesting, and the story, which so far had kept me engaged, ended in such a cliche manner it was anticlimactic. Still, I had fun, and I can see how a 90s kid would think it's the greatest game ever made.
Thinking of playing Majora's next. Is the 3 day time limit too annoying?
>>
>>12044307

3 day limit is perfectly manageable. There's a song you get that slows time down too. Best thing to do is not worry about it, you don't have to do every little thing in a single cycle, you can spread things out.

i'm a zoomer and i've been getting into wrestling games recently, i don't understand why people worship the aki games at all, they're too slow and too fast at the same time, the controls are clunky and mysterious, people are saying wwf no mercy is the best game and it genuinely bewilders me, the grappling system is serviceable in theory, but you'll be too busy getting them reversed by th a cpu to enjoy it
>>
>>12048358
I've tried a handful of wrestling games in my life and I have absolutely zero clue about how the fuck you're supposed to play them
>>
>>12048410
when it comes to retro i would say svr 2011 might be the easiest and here comes the pain might be the best, wrestling games have weird controls sometimes, but at least it's not like fighting games
>>
>>12048416
Thanks anon, I'll look into them

Getting started on Super Metroid. I haven't really touched the series before, but I just recently beat Zero Mission and really liked it, so I figured I'd play the game in the series that everyone sucks off the hardest. I'm thinking of starting one of the zillion RPGs in my backlog (probably Xenogears), but I'm also reading a couple long visual novels right now and I don't know if that would distract me from them or not.

Currently moving through Quake 1's campaign at a glacial pace then afterwards I'm gonna seek out some WADs because I can't get enough of that game's engine. I also want to play some stuff on my OG Xbox (there's a few racing games I've been holding off for a while) but the basement is a total mess right now. :/

Currently playing Metal Gear Solid
started playing MGSV but realized that was probably a terrible idea so I am going through the series in release order (with the exception of ghost babel, acid games and portable ops since those i heard aren't canon and aren't really even all that good anyway). So far the only real frustrating part was Sniper Wolf. Aiming the sniper rifle is slow as shit.

just raise the black flag like a normal person. with how the dogshit the economy is no one is going to care except some elitist retards on here. i couldn't even afford to pay for my textbooks this year, i sure as shit am not paying for any videogames.

the story was a weird 3d take on bomberman, and extremely easy to cheese. you play through once, and forget it. i still had fun though.

also, it still has classic bomberman battles anyway, so you can play against friends or com all you want. the worst thing is the annoying gay sounds they cat npcs make, and the gay announcer voice. very faggy shit. other than that its as fun as bomberman ever was.

>>12044357
>Shining Force 1
stick through it if you're enjoying it so far. there are a lot of little hassles and inconveniences in the experience (choke points, massive forests, item management when looting chests, and many more), but sf2 fixes pretty much all of those for a MUCH smoother experience. sf1 is pretty good/cool despite the inconveniences, and struggling through it will make you appreciate sf2 all the more.

Playing through my list of MegaDrive bucket list games. Got like 100 that I would like to beat. Finished Dynamite Heady and Streets of Rage 1 last week. Now I'm on to Hellfire, getting my Shmup' on!
