>Tom Hall should be credited as the originator of DOOM's core identity, the architect of its narrative soul, and a key figure in its genesis, even if his grander vision was ultimately streamlined in favor of the raw, adrenaline-fueled action that made the game a phenomenon.

Is this true?

Tom Hall has a strange head, strange hair, and an undoubtedly small penis.

So glad they got rid of Hall.
He was a great map designer though.

>Tom Hall should be credited as the originator of DOOM's core identity,
Probably not, Doom was very much strongly shaped by each of its key contributors.

>the architect of its narrative soul
Definitely not, almost all of his ideas for narrative, characters, storytelling, and plot, got thrown out.

>and a key figure in its genesis
This part is true.

>even if his grander vision was ultimately streamlined in favor of the raw, adrenaline-fueled action that made the game a phenomenon.
Streamlined isn't a sufficient description, he envisioned a more complex game, probably more akin to System Shock.
