>>12046204Who are you quoting?
>>12046296An amalgamation of everyone who claims to hate the games and any associated footage they provide >ermmmm dats widewawwy not a verified trusted first party source from wikipedia, chud
What a shitty thread.
>>12046304Honestly, I've never seen people hating God of War specifically. They either hate the whole genre or just larping.
>>12046204it annoys me how nobody will ever acknowledge that god of onions ruined the franchise because "the original was already a shitty moviegame lolololololololololololol"
>>12046370I didn't care about the original at all because I looked at the ugly protag and saw he was just some angry edgy asshole. Which I'm sure is KEWL when you're 10.
>>12046204I only ever played the psp game and i did button mash my way through that game on normal difficulty. Does the ps2 games require you to learn all that advanced stuff to beat them? I did like the psp game tho
>>12046380lol no, i beat both ps2 gow games by just button mashing like a retard and had no problem beating it
>>12046438Uh huh
>>12046325No, they hate God of War specifically. >>12046204Yeah there are some things people just overlook. Like when an enemy is in the air and you're grounded you can press O to slam them back to the ground, or pressing block at the right time and then pressing square for a parry that can potentially result into a knock down. Not only that but some of the grabs are potent against the soldier like enemies since you can swing them around for AoE. In the end combat is just one part of GoW and isn't the whole focus of the game.
>>12046370Thea only people shitting on the greek god of war games are salty dmc/platinum fanboys that hated that these games were far more popular than the ones they like.
>>12046568I think it's moreso people who went in hellbent on confirming their biases and kept dying. I don't see DMC fans lashing out at other series much, they mainly just say theirs is better when asked and move on. Which it is, at some things. I may cum when all my positioning and forward thinking comes together and I carry the entire field for a full grounded L1+square, but it's admittedly much slower and has fewer unique button inputs and overt individual actions involved
>>12046204>>12046304>You know who I hate? People who speak in sweeping negative generalisations to discredit what they disagree with. You might be the shittest op on /vr/ right now. Good job.>>12046516You seem to have overlooked that this game is fucking hideous. For its entire runtime multiple times apparently.
The real problem is that it's a boring slog. Every encounter is a boring slog. Tanky enemies are the worst thing to happen to video games.
>>12046304more like an amalgamation of the voices in your head after reading one reddit comment and extrapolating it to be the general consensus on a game that millions of people played
>>12046789>You might be the shittest op on /vr/ right now. Good job.Oh, so you're the guy spamming the Master System threads
replaying this on the hardest difficulty again and going for the medusa head lvl2 was really funturns out that early spot where harpies are permanently spawning from walls can be harvested with all the mana in the room, you just freeze them in midair and when they fall you get 30 orbs, 15 for the kill and 15 more for shattering them when they hit the groundmanaged to get so much xp that you're max level blades of chaos around the midpoint of the game
>>12046880The first game made me understand why max difficulty was gated behind beating the game on hard. If you weren't good in terms of fighting, exploring, and upgrade routes, you could basically softlock yourself by being underleveled with no way to fix it
>>12046438
You can make the first game super easy by doing the infinite magic glitch where you skip the medusa head tutorial by clipping through the ceiling, adding this >>12046880 to the mix and you can get max out blades and other magic super early.
