Does it enhance the Megadrive experience?
>>
>>12047294
no. it was never a great design.
.t emulates megadrive on 3ds xl

It's a really great replica imo, I use one with a bluetooth adapter on my actual Genesis. 3 button for life.
>>
Playing with the 3 button instead of the 6 button was always a sign of poverty.
>>
Those Nintendo replicas have always been good but they are overpriced

no, this does

For a very brief period before 32-bit consoles hit the shores and just playing the tired Sega was a sign of poverty.
>>
The membranes are spring loaded with like 2 or 3 times the force as any of the originals but it's cool

it is loud as FUCK, really my only complaint

i always found using my fingers on the face buttons, like on an arcade machine, to be much easier than doing claw grip gymnastics or tensing my hands up pressing the shoulder buttons to press 3+ buttons at once. genesis/saturn-style controllers are great for mechanically demanding games.
really shitty of them to make the 6 button controller a japan exclusive btw, that one would be useful even in some modern games.
>>

I'm just happy to have a wireless 3 button genesis controller. There are endless 6 button options out there and even the japan one isn't too out of reach. But the 3 button version is precious

I don't understand why you would buy this instead of a USB converter for a real Megadrive controller.
>>
>>12047305
why the fuck would you use a 3ds to imperfectly emulate the genesis instead of using your phone and one of the 9001 quality phone gamepads available nowadays to perfectly emulate it
>>

the $55 replica is guaranteed to be good and to work on a nintendo switch. an original controller is ~30 years old, might have worn out membranes, might be full of cum, or even worse; it could be an early revision with the thumb-destroying d-pad. also it is not wireless, and finding an USB adapter that is compatible with the switch requires a bit of research.
i'd take my chances with schroedinger's genesis controller and do maintenance if needed, but i can see why your average normalfag/nintendie wouldn't.
>>
I use it to play the genesis from my bed. I use an extension cable in the living room
>>
>>12047947
heh.
My old Genesis and its controllers are still going.
Can't say the same for my Xbox. I have replaced about half a dozen controllers for that piece of shit.

The plastic is more brittle than glass and the sticks dissolve in the atmosphere

>This product is exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members.
>classic controllers cannot be purchased during the trial period.
What the fuck is wrong with Nintendo. Can I buy this at a similar price outside of Nintendo Store? I refuse to be gouged and datamined.
>>
>>12047294
lame they didn’t make the 6 button version would have been nice for fighting games

The bitch6 has bad dpad
>>
>>12047294
Yes. Although the USB version of this controller is my preferred controller for arcade beat-em up games.
