Tomb Raider series:PC versions or PS1 emulation?Gamepad or KB+M?If PC, any mods rec?Already played TR1 Anniversary and I love Underworld as well. Only played TR2 as a kid but was too difficult for me then. Can I start with 4 (does it have a tutorial)? I like the Egypt setting.I'm more interested in puzzles and the Indiana Jones vibe with cool riddles, iconic archeological mythology, complex environment interactions, quiet contemplation and atmosphere, rather than action and traps.

>>12051207Actually adding to this anon, what are /vr/s thoughts on the recent re releases. They have an option to have the old graphics
>>12051207The PS1 version was easier to control with the controller versus the keyboard-only PC original, BUT the PC version had the better graphics. Personally I find a charm in PS1 graphics. >>12052297They were alright except for Lara's stealth suit not being shiny like in the original, and some areas were noticably darker than in the original version. And I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I still think that achievements are the most retarded thing to ever happen in gaming.
>filenameThis is not a serious thread, it's gonna get deleted soon. Don't reply to it seriously.
>>12052297For me they're the definitive ways to play them now.
>>12052401>>12052327I have the OG releases on GOG. Would it be better to just get them on Steam when they are on sale?
>>12052409No. With Steam you don't own them. Find a medium where you own what you pay for.
>>12052704I mean should i play the GOG version or the remasters, since im playing with old graphics mode anyway.
>>12051207You just know...
Is Tomb Raider just boomer Uncharted?(Not that that's a bad thing)
>>12052954Sort of yes. More like Uncharted is more like the 1st-gen TR games than the 3rd-gen TR games themselves are.
>>12051207just pirate the remasters and play with original graphicsit's one of the few cases of a game not getting raped
