Is it true that the PS2 versiom of Space Channel 5 is a broken port, or is it just rhythm game fags being picky about minutia?

Ports of rhythm games always end up broken one way or the other (see: Parappa). It's specifically bad in SC5's case because all the Part 1 backgrounds were movie files, and timings were done with the Dreamcast in mind.

I first played it on the PS2 and I can't tell any difference between it and the DC version. Part 2 is the same.
