I've dabbled in game gear and appreciate the sonic games as separate games enjoyed in a different way. What other games are good on game gear and worth playing? Also game gear thread. Please no sms games as I'm sure we're all tired of hearing about it. I'm just curious about game gear games. I recently got one and a ngpc... So I guess recommend ngpc games too

>>12055787Shining Force 2: Sword of Hajya is an excellent SF game, only really missing the out of combat exploration and a bit watered down in terms of units. Still a lot of fun and has a cool scenario split halfway through. Ristar is also great and pretty different from the Genesis version. Since you mentioned the Sonic games, Tails' Adventure is pretty unique if you haven't played it yet.

>>12055960A lot of ports are actually pretty good, een games like Road Rash, Desert Strike, and Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine were a lot of fun for their limitations. Obviously not as good as the genesis versions, but still really fun.Tails' Adventure was kinda like a metroidvania broken into stages instead of a type of teleport system, lot of fun to explore.

game gear was the only hardware i ever regretted buying. i cant really recommend anything on it besides ecco tides of time if youre into that. i never played that game on any other platform and it seemed passable.

game gear makes me sad because it really highlights what a piece of shit the GBC was.

What GG RPGs are worth playing? That is, RPGs released specifically on the GG, not SMS ports like Ultima IV.
