Redream has the abilility to use framebuffer emulation while also doing internal 3D upscaling, unlike flycast, but only like 3 games would need it.
Flycast however has a dev that actually will respond to issues and try to fix them (if he can), and the emulator has an overclocking option to fix laggy games (while reducing accuracy)

Oh and Redream has a software renderer that runs on compute shaders (not sure if that feature is included in the free version), so if you have weird visual glitches in a game you should give the compute shader renderer a try.
