Beat Splatterhouse 2 last year. Cool game, I need to play 3, maybe I'll do now.I also recommend Porky's Haunted Holidays. Bit of a kuso game developed in the west but worth it for the palpable unsettling feel it has. It is supposed to be a halloween game I guess but at the same time it has an extra layer of weirdness that feels unintended. Very eerie soundtrack and sound effects too.I personally play it every halloween season, a classic for me

Quackshot is a must.I'd also say Castle of Illusion also has a very halloween-y atmosphere what with the witch and enchanted forest.
>>12058085Legitimately a cool game loaded with secret areas that you are unlikely to find without a few playthroughs under your belt. It has randomized weather which is also adds to the atmosphere. It isnt the most polished game, and has some annoying parts (the bosses are slow and easy, and Atlantis is a real slog), but overall it is a fun time with a lot of character

has anyone played thru sweet home? is it worth it for the game itself or more to just see the resident evil inspiration? i started it ~20 years ago thru a translation rom but didnt play it much.

Not even in a potentially cool, make it really hard way either. Best of all, the j version is already in english with only a couple of typos.

>>12059480I think there’s enough variety and the music is good enough to make it worth putting in several hours. Abuse your save states, losing a party member will make the game very tedious because of the limited inventory and loss of a forever item.
