Is this game known outside of europe?I know there is still a very active scene and even after 25 years, records are being broken. We played it a lot in school and couldn't believe our eyes when we first saw the world record replays. It is a simple and elegant game, yet highly difficult to master. This video gives a nice introduction, but I skipped the first 4 minutes of really terrible driving: https://youtu.be/t-W2zQA03M4?t=261
>>12058667Neat, reminds me of Kikstart I and II on my C64
>>12058667it was a popular game in my high school computer lab back in the late 90s here in canada at least
>>12058667I remember playing Action SuperCross in the late 90s at a friend's. Really hard, but even failing was hilarious.
The computers in my crappy IT lab had this on them along with porn malware.
The physics and smooth turning blew me away. There was nothing like it at the time.
>>12058667I used to play games like this on muh java phone
I had no idea Action SuperCross was a prequel. I always assumed it was Elasto Mania with a different name like you have same game released under a different name depending on the region.
OP did you hear of a game called Liero? That was a 90's classic. So was Deluxe Ski Jump.
>>12058749Same here in the USThere were tons of clones on addictinggames and other flash portals and stuff like that
>>12058667I played this all the time in web design class in 12th grade (2000-01) so yeah, it's been well known outside Europe for decades.
>>12059978Of course! These and blobby volley. And VW Lupo cup
>>12058958i really loved how the only solid parts of the bike were the wheels and head, so you could do silly stuff like drive upside down if there was a strip of ground narrow enough for your head to not hit it while your tires drove along the top
>>12060926Another special feature are the bugs that never got fixed and made it possible to bounce, which is basically jumping. It works by breaking, so that the suspension would collapse, and then by a sudden release the springtension got unloaded in one moment, accelerating the Bike forward.
